" We have just finished a 6 week long session with our little spaniel mix puppy, Wilma. It probably could have taken a shorter amount of time if we practised as suggested. And although she sometimes takes a step backwards it's 100% better than before Polite Puppy Paws helped us.
Susan was our trainer, which was nice cause she is also the owner. There wasn't any kind of contract or pressure to have her come back after the first visit. Which included an evaluation and first lesson. Susan was not only patient, but has a truely genuine love of training puppies and dogs. She is very knowledgeable and understands how precious our Wilma is to us. She showed us exactly how to train her to understand what we expect from her and what rewards she recieves for doing them.
I would highly recommended Polite Puppy Paws for training. Susan was very honest and polite about some of the things we were doing wrong, but worked around our desires, like Wilma, sleeping in bed with us.

We adopted a lab mix puppy named Lexie from the shelter at 9 weeks earlier this year. Since we have a fairly large family, we decided that we would try and handle the puppy training ourselves at home. After several weeks of house training and frustration, we needed help so we enrolled her in a beginning puppy training class at one of the local pet stores. Lexie learned a couple of tricks, but was struggling with basic training and manners so we felt we needed to find something or someone else to help us. Then, we found Susan at Polite Puppy Paws. Susan is clearly very fond of all types of dogs and she genuinely loves her work as a trainer helping families with their pets. Susan believes in your dog being an integral and important part of ones family and her training and guidance focuses around that concept. Susan is honest and straightforward with her instruction and points out things that we are doing wrong as well as right in a very positive and professional manner. We are fortunate that Susan is so accommodating to our familys schedules, and she works with us and Lexie at our home. We are very happy with the progress Lexie has been making with Susan and we look forward to our future sessions.
